The Sump Adapter is used to connect a flue pipe to the bottom of a masonry chimney.
It will not connect to a flexible flue liner, but the chimney may or may not have a clay liner, concrete liner, pumice liner etc.
It has a stainless steel plate 325mm x 325mm with a downwards facing spigot which fits into 150mm diameter single wall pipe.
Stainless steel plate 325mm x 325mm
Downwards facing spigot which fits into 6" (150mm) single wall flue pipe.
1mm thick stainless steel grade 316.
Using a 'spun clay pot adapter' is preferable to this item if possible as there is less possibility of condensate leakage!
Place the plate up towards the underside of the stack. Mark where the Adaptor can be securely screwed into the surrounding stack.
Drill, screw and secure into the surrounding stack.
Finish off with Fire Cement and Fire Rope to make a good seal around the square plate of the adaptor.
The single wall pipe can then placed over the spigot of the adaptor.
Again finish off with Fire Cement and/or Fire Rope to make a good seal.
