5kW nominal output and capable of burning coal and all other solid fuels. The Cube has primary and secondary air controls, which can control the output from 0 to 6.5kW.

A large ceramic window by Schott gives a good view of the fire and is kept clear by the air-wash system.

An efficient design with a dual layer steel convection system: warm air is drawn in at the bottom, passes around the combustion chamber, and exits through vents at the top of the stove distributing heat evenly and efficiently into the room.

The Cube has excellent overnight burn capability: Fully lined with firebricks, air tight door seals and simple but effective air flow controls allow you to close the stove down overnight. Re-open the air controls in the morning, add some coal or wood and the fire will come back to life again.

The colour scheme is matt mid-grey or black with nickel plated solid brass handles.

150 mm EU flue connection at the top only.

Certified to BS EN13240. 2 year warranty.

Stood the test of time Review by Raj
We have owned this stove for 12 years and it has been brilliant never had an issue with it, we use this heavily over the winter periods and for a little stove it does a great job of also heating the home.

Brilliant quality and excellent value 5* productReview by Nick
I can honestly say that this Stove is brilliant, I found the process of finding a stove a real minefield, as the prices of some outweigh the benefit of trying to save money on heating bills, have used the stove all winter and so far it has been faultless, due to having a couple of operations just before Christmas have spent the last six weeks at home, the slumber mode certainly works as long as you put coal on prior going to bed, make sure the coal is burning well, then i found that closing both vents keeps enough embers glowing so that the next morning all you need to do is put a few smaller sticks in the stove and it will re light then add more coal / logs as required, I have kept the Central Heating off all day and the stove has kept our, largish living room, large dining room and kitchen at a very comfortable temperature just leave the doors open and the heat spreads.

Ironically i told a colleague at work that I had bought a stove, he said that he wished he had known that i was looking as he knew a great company, couldn't believe it, it turned out he has exactly the same one, he has had his for approximately three years with no issues at all, also the technical advice given prior to purchase was second to none, picked ours up directly from the warehouse, highly recommended product and service, free flue pipe as well........ Budget Stove with superior performance!Review by Adam Christie
As with anything I buy, I spent ages trying to find the best value for money possible. Many other stove manufacturers prices start at £400+, and the claimed heat output for these so called budget stoves is as little as 3kw. I eventually found Grey Metal stoves via, and I was at first a little skeptical that the budget line of stoves that Grey Metal sold were any good, but I'm not one to rely solely on good reviews - it's the bad reviews that catch my attention, and as there weren't any, I decided to take the plunge.

In all honesty I can say, with 100% confidence that I have made absolutely the right choice! The stove works wonderfully - is light in weight so easy to install, and a doddle to get going as the air supplies are effective and easy to use.

The addition of a free stove pipe/EU to UK adapter pipe is an added bonus as it saves you a further £30/£40.

So far so good - the window stays fairly clean (we're novice stove users so it went black the first time we used it!) and the heat output is very good. Having a small combustion chamber means you can't really throw on 12" logs however - but nevertheless, you can fill up the chamber with wood, set the air vents to 1/2", and it'll burn for an hour easily.

If you're on a budget, and you have a standard 12 foot x 12 foot living room to heat, buy this stove - you'll not be disappointed! (Posted on 04/12/2014)
